Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man….Umm…NO!

Steve Harvey's book

Almost everyone around the world has heard of this book.  Many even give it a thumbs up for Steve’s insight on relationships. However, I have a problem with these types of books that try to tell people how they should be in a relationship. Let me tell you the truth, you should be YOURSELF and if they can’t handle that, then they’re not for you.

A relationship is not a game, seeing who can act better than the other, creating tactics and strategy to make the other do what you want. It’s about two people coming together to learn, grow, support, build, and help one another cherishing the other’s personality & character regardless of anything  that seems less than perfect because you care for that person. And, yes, I am a romantic at heart and I’m NOT going to change that because of a few bad females who gave some males a bad impression. Notice, I said females and not women because women know how to act. My loving, caring, playful nature and thoughtfulness should not have to be “toned down” put on the back burner or tweaked  because guys are used to dealing with “THOTS” , one- night stands and others of the like. Not a part of that club and proud of it.

I say, that as a woman, I was offended that a man had to write a book such as this. What is this saying about us, ladies, as a whole?  Are we not valuing ourselves enough to portray a decent image or an example of what a woman should be?  Sadly, in this world  it seems like the majority are not. I was raised to respect myself being taught that I am a jewel. Not to disrespect myself by associating with someone who has no respect, nor, regard for my values, morals and goals.

I hope one day some of these females get that it’s not about who you can sleep with,  how beat your face can look, or purchasing the shortest dress, skirt or low cut blouse you can find that shows all your stuff. But what YOU have going on in your head and for yourself  that will project you into a successful and prosperous future solo, until your Mr. Right comes. Some of these “ladies” are walking around looking like dime pieces but aren’t even worth one cent.

So,  act like a lady and think like a man? NOT! Because there is nothing wrong with me and the personality I have and if people want to call me naïve, hungry, thirsty or whatever else because of my natural born nature, then I’m not for you anyway.  I’m for the mature man only.  But to all the ladies who have a problem maintaining high morals, standards & vision; being willing to sleep with anyone who puts a smile on your face, then this book is for you.

Glamour Pumpkins

glamour pumpkins

I have been in love with decorating pumpkins ever since I was a little girl. However, even at that age, I didn’t really like the mess created after I carved and cleaned the pumpkin out.  Well, now there’s a new way to decorate pumpkins for the older and well, girly, girl crowd that doesn’t involve creating a mess when decorating your pumpkin.  Are you ready for it?  Ok, here’s a new tip for all of us glamour girls I’m sure you going to love.

Metallic Pumpkins – When decorating your house this Halloween make a glamourized statement by using metallic pumpkins.  Here’s how.

Materials

3 Pumpkins descending in size
2 cans of Metallic spray – Silver, Rose Gold or pink ( or any metallic color you like)
Old newspaper – to spray the pumpkins on

Instructions

Get in a well ventilated area, preferably outside. Clean your pumpkin with a damp rag making sure the outside of the pumpkin is clean and now let’s get started…

Holding the pumpkin by the stem, spray the entire surface area until every inch is covered. Allow to dry, and apply a second coat. Let sit for about a day and apply another coat to give it a deep hue.  The more coats you apply, the richer the color will be. Wait another 24 hours to let the pumpkin dry and cut off the stems as close to the pumpkin as you can and stack them adding a decoration or two, such as pictured below.

And there you have it. A pretty and simple Halloween decoration that looks good and adds a touch of fabulousness to your décor. (idea courtsy of The Real talk show)

And the EYES have it…

eyes

So I’ve searched and I’ve tested.  What is the best eye cream?!?  Well I found it!:-) Actually, I found two.  Two eye creams that gave me remarkable results and I’m happy to report those two products to you.  I hope it works well for you as they did for me. First up….

StriV eye creamStriVectin SD –

I couldn’t wait to use the StriVectin products when they first came out then I got a look at the price.  Uh…never mind but one day I truly needed an eye cream that worked to take away the puffiness, so I finally gave in and thought about giving StriVectin a try.  I was AMAZED.  The StriVectin SD eye cream really did work.  I was so happy that I purchased this amazing eye cream.  After trying so many over the counter products, splurging on this was a wise choice.  Even though some beauty products may cost a pretty penny, please listen to me when I say, treat yourself every now and then  because you will be happy you did.

One thing I really liked about this eye cream is how well it moisturized my under eye area exceptionally well. Besides taking away my puffiness and possibly crows feet :-/ this eye cream did wonders.  This is one to surely keep in stock.

Ok friends, until next time – stay beautiful and keep it simple.
